OFFICIAL: Belgian-Vietnamese 2007-born player joins CAHN

CAHN has officially recruited Belgian-Vietnamese defender Lenn-Minh Tran, a product of Genk's youth system, who is anticipated to upgrade the backline for the upcoming campaign.

CAHN continues to draw attention in the transfer market by officially announcing the signing of the Belgian-Vietnamese defender Lenn-Minh Tran, a player valued at approximately €325,000 and who previously played in the Dutch Eerste Divisie.

The information was confirmed by the club on its official website after days of rumors about Lenn-Minh Tran's return to Vietnam. Earlier, MVV Maastricht had also confirmed that the 19-year-old defender would leave the club to start a new chapter.

In the announcement, CAHN wrote: "Welcome Lenn-Minh Tran to CAHN. The player, who developed from the Genk academy, has a solid technical foundation, modern tactical thinking, and can play on both sides of the defense. The presence of Lenn-Minh Tran will help the team strengthen both defensive solidity and attacking support."

Lenn-Minh Tran was born in 2007, with a Vietnamese father and a Belgian mother. He graduated from the prestigious academy Genk, a cradle that produced many world-class stars such as Kevin De Bruyne and Thibaut Courtois. In the 2025/26 season, this defender played for MVV Maastricht and made 32 appearances in the Dutch Eerste Divisie.

Despite being only 1.69 m tall, Lenn-Minh Tran is highly rated for his speed, game-reading ability, and flexibility. He can play at right-back, left-back, or right winger, standing out with accurate tackles, fierce duels, and a willingness to push forward to support attacks.

Currently, Lenn-Minh Tran and his father only hold Belgian citizenship, but the family is processing procedures to apply for Vietnamese citizenship under the new regulations.

The arrival of the promising overseas Vietnamese defender is expected to bring a fresh breeze to CAHN's defense, while also opening up opportunities for him to aim for the goal of wearing the Vietnamese national team jersey in the future.
