Meanwhile, midfielder Thom Haye – the "brain" of Indonesia's midfield – has also not reached optimal physical condition after having to train separately in recent sessions.

Indonesian experts believe that losing or not having the best form of these two key players will significantly affect the home team's ability to control the game, especially against a Vietnam team that is considered experienced and possesses many players capable of quick transitions.

Kompas newspaper commented that Vietnam remains the most troublesome opponent in Group A, despite their draw with Singapore in the previous match. According to the newspaper's assessment, coach Kim Sang Sik's team possesses a well-organized defense, disciplined play, and is particularly dangerous in counter-attacking situations.

Meanwhile, CNN Indonesia believes that Indonesia needs to improve their chance conversion if they want to defeat Vietnam. Although scoring many goals in the first two matches, the "archipelago nation" still showed moments of stagnation against opponents employing mass defense.
