MU could complete 7 deals in a week, unexpectedly targeting Arsenal's young star

According to forecasts, MU will face a hectic week on the transfer front, with the possibility of wrapping up as many as seven deals, covering new arrivals as well as significant exits.

Under the leadership of the INEOS board and coach Michael Carrick, the Old Trafford side is continuing its squad rebuilding process for the new season. So far, MU has brought in three new players: Youri Tielemans, Andrey Santos, and goalkeeper Karl Darlow. However, the Red Devils' shopping activity is believed to be far from over.

The Independent reports that MU is considering the possibility of signing Arsenal's young talent Myles Lewis-Skelly. The Manchester club had previously monitored this player but did not enter negotiations. However, the current situation may cause them to change their stance.

Lewis-Skelly, 19, made significant progress with Arsenal last season and gradually established himself in midfield. However, if Arsenal completes the deal for Bruno Guimaraes from Newcastle in the near future, the young Englishman's playing opportunities could be affected. This opens the possibility of Arsenal considering selling Lewis-Skelly, especially since it would be a pure profit under Financial Fair Play (FFP) rules.

In addition, MU is also looking for another central midfielder despite already bringing in Tielemans and Santos. One of the targets mentioned is AS Roma's Manu Kone.

The French midfielder impressed strongly at the recent World Cup and is on the radar of many big clubs. According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, a player swap deal could be arranged, with Marcus Rashford being included in the agreement.

Rashford just completed a loan spell at Barcelona. However, the Catalan side decided not to activate the £26 million buy option. Although he still has a contract with MU, the English striker's future has become very uncertain.

Roma currently needs to add a winger but faces difficulties due to FFP regulations. Therefore, a swap deal involving Rashford and Kone is seen as a beneficial solution for all parties. It is understood that Kone is currently valued at around £51 million.

On the other side, several young MU players could leave the club in the coming days.

Goalkeeper Radek Vitek is one of the notable names. The 22-year-old shot-stopper recently returned from a loan spell at Bristol City and has attracted interest from several clubs. The possibility of Vitek leaving on a permanent transfer is becoming increasingly clear.

Left-back Harry Amass also faces an uncertain future. Although he performed well in summer friendlies and impressed when replacing Luke Shaw, the young player has yet to secure a regular spot in the squad. Several Championship clubs are currently pursuing Amass, while MU is reportedly valuing him at around £6 million.

Midfielder Dan Gore is another case who could leave Old Trafford. After several injury-plagued seasons, the player recently had a stint at Rotherham United. However, he has been informed that regular first-team opportunities next season will mainly come in the U21 setup. Middlesbrough is said to be closely monitoring Gore's situation.

Finally, there is Toby Collyer. The midfielder, who came through MU's academy, just spent a season on loan at Hull City. Despite showing positive signs, Collyer could still be sold if the club receives a suitable offer. MU's coaches believe he has the potential to develop into a player capable of regular Premier League action, but Collyer himself also wants more first-team minutes.

If everything goes smoothly, the first week of August promises to witness a series of major changes at Old Trafford, as MU looks to both strengthen its squad and streamline the roster before the new season officially begins.
