The U17 China National Team took on Arsenal's U17 team, the Premier League champions. They initially led 2-0 courtesy of Zhao Songyuan's double. However, the strong Arsenal side equalized through goals from Jayden Oba and Nwaneri. In the dying moments of stoppage time, substitute Cheng Shenghan, who had just come on, scored a header from a rebound to complete a dramatic winner, helping the U17 China National Team overcome a tough opponent and secure a victorious start.

In one of the Group B first-round matches, the Shanghai U17 men's team, trailing 1-3 at one point, scored two goals late in the game to eventually draw 3-3 with Sporting CP's U17 team, formerly Cristiano Ronaldo's club.

Li Qiufu opened the scoring for Shanghai, and later Liang Jinhong scored a brace in the 66th and 83rd minutes to secure a point for the Shanghai U17 men's team.

After the first round, the U17 China National Team is the only team to win, temporarily leading Group A, while the other three matches all ended in draws, with each team earning one point.
