The Vietnamese team excitedly returned to the training ground, recovering before the match against Cambodia.

The Vietnamese team returned to training in Hanoi this afternoon, August 5th, to prepare for their next Group A match against Cambodia in the ASEAN Hyundai Cup 2026.

After a 3-0 victory away in Indonesia, the team atmosphere was very relaxed and excited. The starting players in the match at Pakansari Stadium mainly performed recovery exercises under the guidance of the coaching staff, while the remaining players maintained a higher-intensity training program to ensure match fitness.

Notably, four players did not train with the team: Patrik Lê Giang, Văn Lâm, Hoàng Hên, and Tài Lộc. These were all cases arranged for separate recovery or treatment after the match against Indonesia. According to the coaching staff's assessment, these players did not suffer serious injuries, and the reduced load was implemented to ensure their fitness for the next stage of the tournament.

The 3-0 victory over Indonesia helped the Vietnamese team extend their unbeaten streak to 21 matches under coach Kim Sang Sik, while also rising to the top of Group A with 7 points after 3 matches.

Although holding a big advantage in the race for a semifinal berth, the coaching staff still required the team to maintain maximum focus. Coach Kim Sang Sik repeatedly emphasized that his players must not be complacent against Cambodia, an opponent who still has a chance to compete and always plays with high determination.

According to the plan, the Vietnamese team will continue to refine tactical aspects in the final training sessions before hosting Cambodia on August 7th. If they secure all three points, coach Kim Sang Sik's team will enter the semifinals as the top of Group A.

Also on the afternoon of August 5th, the Vietnam Football Federation (VFF) in coordination with An Media organized the program "Stand Side by Side with the Vietnamese Team".

This is a meaningful activity aimed at connecting fans, KOLs, and media representatives with the Vietnamese team, while also spreading the spirit of encouragement and providing additional motivation for the coach and players before the match against the Cambodian team in the ASEAN Hyundai Cup 2026.
