Summer window record signing? Real Madrid reportedly reaches agreement for 19-year-old Bundesliga star, total fee of €140 million sets new benchmark.

On August 6, Beijing time, multiple authoritative sources including The Athletic's Real Madrid correspondent Mario Cortegana, German Sky Sports reporter Florian Plettenberg, and renowned transfer expert Fabrizio Romano confirmed that Real Madrid has reached an agreement with RB Leipzig for the transfer of Diomande.

According to reports, the fixed part of Diomande's transfer fee is €125 million, with an additional €15 million in add-ons, making the total deal potentially worth up to €140 million.

Furthermore, under the terms of Diomande's transfer from Leganés to Leipzig a year ago, Leganés will also receive a percentage of this transfer fee.

If the two clubs finalize the deal at the currently discussed amount, Diomande will surpass Chelsea's new signing Rogers to become the new "record signing" of this summer window.

The 19-year-old Diomande arrived in Austria on Monday to join Leipzig's pre-season training camp. The transfer is still pending formal approval from the German club's board. The Ivorian international is expected to soon be allowed to travel to Madrid for a medical examination.

This summer, Real Madrid has completed several blockbuster transfers. They have signed Bernardo Silva, Konaté, Dumfries, Cucurella, and Espi. Additionally, Real Madrid is pushing to secure a deal for Rodri from Manchester City.
