V.League team heads to Thailand to prepare for major ambitions

CA TP.HCM will spend 10 days training in Thailand to finalize their roster and get ready for the 2026/27 V.League season.

On the evening of August 5, CA TP.HCM Club departed for Bangkok (Thailand) to begin a 10-day training camp aimed at preparing for the 2026/27 V.League season. This is considered a crucial phase in the plan to complete the squad and playing style of the police club before entering the new season with many big goals in both the V.League and National Cup.

Before going to Thailand, CA TP.HCM had a domestic training camp in Ba Ria, focusing on improving physical fitness and perfecting tactical patterns. The team of coach Diles Athanasios Arthur also had a favorable warm-up when they defeated CLB TP.HCM 4-1 in a friendly match, building more confidence before their first overseas trip since the club was founded.

The summer transfer window also saw many changes in CA TP.HCM's squad. The club parted ways with up to 16 players to rebuild the team, while adding 6 quality new recruits: goalkeeper Phan Van Bieu, midfielder Phan Van Duc, overseas Vietnamese player Lenn Minh Chan, and three foreign players Michael Olaha, Aldair Ferreira, and Dirk Abels. All of them are participating in the training camp in Thailand to quickly integrate with their teammates.

The training camp in Bangkok not only helps the coaching staff continue to sharpen tactics but also provides an opportunity to test the abilities of the new recruits. Through friendly matches against opponents in Thailand, coach Diles Arthur will evaluate the form of each player, thereby selecting the optimal framework for the new season.

After an unexpectedly successful 2025/26 season with a 5th place in the V.League and the National Cup championship, CA TP.HCM is setting its sights higher. The strong investment in the squad and the thorough preparation demonstrate their ambition to compete on equal terms with the league's top contenders.
