On August 6 afternoon, VPF organized a draw and fixture scheduling event for the 2026/27 national professional football leagues, and also announced a new brand identity and the slogan "World Game, Our Festival – International Playground, National Festival."
According to the draw results, defending champions CAHN will begin their V.League 2026/27 campaign by hosting Hong Linh Ha Tinh at home. This is seen as an opportunity for coach Mano Polking's team to secure three points on opening day, setting the stage for their title defense in the new season.

In addition, the opening round features several other notable matches. Thép Xanh Nam Định hosts HAGL at Thiên Trường Stadium, while Hà Nội FC travels to face Công an TP.HCM. Ninh Bình will be away to Hải Phòng at Lạch Tray, and Thể Công Viettel visits Đồng Nai.
The LPBank V.League 1-2026/27 features 14 clubs, starting on September 4, 2026 and ending on May 22, 2027. The V.League 2-2026/27 also includes 14 teams, running from September 11, 2026 to May 16, 2027. Meanwhile, the National Cup 2026/27 has 27 participating teams, excluding Hanoi Youth Club as per competition regulations.
At the ceremony, VPF also officially introduced the new brand identity of the company and the national professional football league system.
According to VPF, the identity was built to reflect the development aspirations of Vietnamese professional football, enhance the brand value of the tournaments, create a unified, modern, and distinctive image system, and help connect with a wide range of fans.
