On the evening of August 6, Beijing time, Real Madrid, the Spanish giants, officially announced the acquisition of 19-year-old Ivorian winger Diomande. The agreement spans seven years, expiring on June 30, 2033.

Per earlier reports, Diomande's transfer includes a fixed €125 million plus €15 million in variables, making the overall package €140 million. This deal also makes Diomande the most expensive signing in Real Madrid's history, surpassing stars like Cristiano Ronaldo, Bellingham, Bale, and Hazard. The previous record was held by Bellingham at €134 million.

The 19-year-old Diomande made 36 appearances for Leipzig last season, netting 13 goals and providing 9 assists. In the recently concluded World Cup, he featured in four matches and recorded one assist. His current market value on Transfermarkt is €90 million.

This summer, Real Madrid has completed several high-profile transfers. They have already secured players such as B. Silva, Konaté, Dumfries, Cucurella, and Espi.

Moreover, Real Madrid is nearing a contract extension with Brazilian superstar Vinícius. For the upcoming season, the front three is expected to be a combination of Vinícius, Mbappé, and Diomande.
