Cambodia is the only team to have scored against all opponents in Group A, causing the Vietnam national team to lose their clean sheet streak.

The Cambodian team left a significant impression at the 2026 ASEAN Cup, being the sole squad in Group A to find the net against every opponent, including Vietnam.

This achievement is even more impressive given that Cambodia faced higher-rated teams such as Singapore, Indonesia, and Vietnam.

In the final Group A match on the evening of August 7, the Vietnam national team secured a 3-1 victory over Cambodia at My Dinh Stadium. Nguyen Dinh Bac continued to shine with a brace in the 18th and 89th minutes, while the hosts' other goal came from an own goal by Im Vakhim in the 84th minute. Cambodia's consolation goal was scored by Iago Bento in the 71st minute.

Bento's goal not only spared Cambodia from a whitewash but also maintained the team's special scoring record in Group A. Earlier, Cambodia had breached Singapore's defense in the opening match, with Ouk Sovann scoring in the 55th minute, although Cambodia ultimately lost 1-2 to Singapore.

In the match against Indonesia, Cambodia scored again. They lost 1-5 but still managed a goal via an own goal by goalkeeper Nadeo Argawinata in the 48th minute.

Cambodia then put on an impressive performance against Timor-Leste, winning 3-0. Hav Soknet scored a brace, while Mon Rado found the net in the 90th minute. Thus, Cambodia scored against all four opponents in Group A.

Meanwhile, the goal conceded to Cambodia officially ended Vietnam's clean sheet streak in the group stage. Before this match, the Vietnamese team had kept three consecutive shutouts.

In their opening match, Vietnam defeated Timor-Leste 7-0. Do Hoang Hen, Nguyen Dinh Bac, Nguyen Xuan Son, and Nguyen Quang Hai all contributed to the team's resounding victory.

After that, Vietnam drew 0-0 with Singapore at My Dinh, keeping another clean sheet. Then, away to Indonesia, coach Kim Sang-sik's side impressed even more with a 3-0 victory, thanks to goals from Nguyen Van Vi, Nguyen Hai Long, and Nguyen Xuan Son.

Thus, Vietnam's three-match clean sheet streak ended against Cambodia. Nonetheless, the 3-1 win allowed Vietnam to finish the group stage unbeaten and top Group A, thereby advancing to the semifinals.
