VFF Vice President Tran Anh Tu, representing the VFF Executive Committee's Standing Board, met and motivated the coaching staff and players of the Vietnam women's national team, who are in training for ASIAD 2026, on the afternoon of August 8.
On behalf of the VFF Executive Committee's Standing Board and VFF President Tran Quoc Tuan, Vice President Tran Anh Tu extended his best wishes and encouragement to the coaching staff and players, while affirming that ASIAD 2026 is one of the key tasks for the Vietnam women's national team this year. He emphasized that VFF will always accompany and provide the best conditions for the team to prepare well before departing for the tournament.

According to Vice President Tran Anh Tu, amid the Vietnam men's team competing in the AFF Hyundai Cup 2026 and already reaching the semifinals, along with several national semi-professional tournaments taking place in August, VFF has proactively implemented a thorough preparation plan for the Vietnam women's national team, ensuring full conditions for training, matches, and camps.
He also assessed that the ASIAD is a highly competitive arena requiring meticulous preparation. Therefore, VFF expects the entire team to make effective use of the upcoming training camp, especially the training trip to China, to refine their skills before entering the tournament.
On behalf of the coaching staff, head coach Hoang Van Phuc thanked VFF leaders for their attention, encouragement, and support for the team. He stated that 29 players have reported for duty since August 7. After three training sessions, the team's spirit is very high, with players training actively and ready to pursue their goals ahead.
Coach Hoang Van Phuc affirmed that the goal of the Vietnam women's national team at ASIAD 2026 is to strive for a spot in the quarterfinals.

According to the plan, the Vietnam women's national team will train at the Vietnam Youth Football Training Center from August 7 to August 30. During this period, the team is scheduled to play 3 friendly matches domestically. From August 31 to September 6, Coach Hoang Van Phuc's squad will travel to China for a training camp and play two additional friendly matches.
Thus, the Vietnam women's national team will have a total of 5 warm-up matches to perfect their skills before entering ASIAD 2026.
At ASIAD 2026, the women's football tournament will begin on September 14. The Vietnam women's national team is in the same group as hosts Japan, Chinese Taipei, and Thailand. In their opening match on September 14, Coach Hoang Van Phuc's team will face Chinese Taipei, followed by matches against Japan (September 17) and Thailand (September 21).
With proactive and systematic preparation and high determination, the Vietnam women's national team aims to advance past the group stage, secure a quarterfinal berth, and make their mark at ASIAD 2026.
