In a pre-season friendly that ended on August 9th Beijing time, Manchester United drew 1-1 with Champions League winners Paris Saint-Germain, staying unbeaten in three friendlies.

Just two minutes into the match, PSG enjoyed a dream start. Kvaratskhelia threaded a through ball, Dembélé crossed from the left side of the box, and 18-year-old prospect Mbaye bundled the ball home from close range to give his team a quick lead.

In the 15th minute, Mbaye created another threat, firing a shot from the edge of the box that took a deflection and went just over the crossbar.

In the 20th minute, Manchester United came close to scoring. Mbeumo took a free kick that was palmed away by Safonov with a diving save.

Shortly after, Manchester United midfielder Mason Mount appeared to feel discomfort and was replaced by Taylor Fletcher.

In the 32nd minute, Manchester United finally equalized. Amad won the ball high up the pitch and fed it to the left side of the box, where Mbeumo, valued at €75 million, curled a left-footed shot into the far corner, bringing the teams level.

In the 38th minute, Mbeumo struck a high-quality free kick, but Safonov made another save.

After the break, in the 48th minute, Manchester United's 40-year-old goalkeeper Heaton rushed out of the box to clear the ball and appeared to pick up a muscle strain, leading to his substitution.
In the 54th minute, Mbeumo received the ball, cut inside, and unleashed a powerful left-footed shot, which was again tipped away by Safonov with one hand.

In the 64th minute, Bruno Fernandes, Nuno Mendes, Vitinha, and João Neves came off the bench, while Tielemans also made his Manchester United debut.
In the 73rd minute, Manchester United missed a golden chance. Safonov rushed out to midfield, and 19-year-old Shea Lacey shot wide of an empty goal.

In the 82nd minute, Bruno Fernandes pushed a shot towards the far post, but the ball drifted just wide of the upright.

Ultimately, the two sides settled for a draw. Manchester United have recorded two wins and one draw in three friendlies. Next up, they will face Leeds United and AC Milan in further warm-up matches.
As for PSG, they have not won either of their two friendlies. The Champions League winners' next match will be the UEFA Super Cup against Aston Villa on the 13th of this month.
