Due to the typhoon! The Tomorrow Star Champions Cup final has been canceled, and the U17 Chinese national team and Arsenal will be crowned co-champions.

According to several prominent Chinese journalists such as Ding Xu, Pei Li, and Yang Yi, the final of the Tomorrow Star Champions Cup, which was about to start, was canceled due to the adverse weather triggered by the typhoon. Consequently, the U17 Chinese national team and Arsenal U17 men's team will be declared joint champions.

The final was originally set to take place at 2:30 PM, but because Typhoon "White Dolphin" was about to make landfall in Zhejiang, which also significantly affected Shanghai, the decision was made to cancel it.

Therefore, the final was first moved from its original evening slot to the afternoon, then announced to be played behind closed doors without fans, and ultimately had to be reluctantly canceled.

After the final was canceled, the two opposing sides—the Chinese U17 men's team and Arsenal—were named co-champions, and the best player award went to Chinese U17 player Zhao Songyuan.

Six days ago, in the first round of the group stage, the two teams had faced each other. The U17 national team once led 2-0 but allowed Arsenal U17 to pull two goals back and level the score. In the dying moments of stoppage time, Cheng Shenghan, who had just been substituted on, scored a header from a rebound to snatch a dramatic victory.

Both teams had advanced to the final by narrowly winning their semifinals through penalty shootouts. The U17 national team eliminated River Plate, while Arsenal U17 beat Shanghai U17.
