The Vietnam Football Federation (VFF) awarded the "For the Cause of Vietnamese Football" commemorative medal to Coach Phan Thanh Hung.

On the morning of August 9, the VFF presented the "For the Cause of Vietnamese Football" commemorative medal to Coach Phan Thanh Hung at his home in Da Nang, acknowledging his role in advancing the sport in the country.

VFF Vice President Nguyen Xuan Vu directly awarded the commemorative medal to Coach Phan Thanh Hung. During the meeting, Mr. Nguyen Xuan Vu asked about the health of the former Vietnam national team head coach and conveyed greetings and encouragement from the VFF Executive Committee and its Standing Committee.

The VFF Vice President also reminisced about the period when Coach Phan Thanh Hung worked with the Vietnam U20 squad during a training camp in Japan. This stands out as a remarkable chapter in his career coaching national teams.

Moved by the VFF leadership's attention, Coach Phan Thanh Hung expressed his gratitude and appreciation.

Mr. Phan Thanh Hung currently serves as a member of the National Coaches Council and has previously held the position of head coach of the Vietnam national football team.

The "For the Cause of Vietnamese Football" commemorative medal is a recognition bestowed by the VFF to honor individuals who have made contributions to Vietnamese football, such as coaches, players, and technical personnel.

The presentation of the commemorative medal to Coach Phan Thanh Hung acknowledges his contributions during his long association with Vietnamese football.
