U15 PVF keeps demonstrating outstanding performance at the Phoenix Cup 2026 international youth football tournament, beating U15 Haocheng 12-0.

The second matchday of the international youth football tournament Phoenix Cup 2026 took place in China. witnessed an impressive performance by U15 PVF (Vietnam) against U15 Haocheng (China). Right after the opening whistle, coach Hoang Tho's players proactively pushed up their formation, continuously applied pressure, and quickly scored the opening goal.

U15 PVF completely dominated the match in the first half. With fast coordination and diverse attacks, the Vietnamese representative continuously put the U15 Haocheng defense on the back foot. After the first 40 minutes, U15 PVF had built a big lead with a score of 4-0.

In the second half, U15 PVF's pressure even increased. The young Vietnamese players maintained a high attacking tempo and repeatedly exploited gaps in the opponent's defense to score 8 more goals. In the end, U15 PVF closed the match with a resounding 12-0 victory over U15 Haocheng.

On a day the attack exploded, Phuc Nguyen and Manh Duy were the most prominent names, each scoring a hat-trick. Additionally, Minh Khang contributed a brace, helping to create a glorious victory for the young Vietnamese team.

This is the second victory of U15 PVF at the Phoenix Cup 2026. Coach Hoang Tho's team still has three group stage matches, all against representatives of the host China. If they finish the group stage in one of the top two positions, U15 PVF will qualify for the semi-finals.

Each team in the tournament will play 6 matches, each with an official duration of 80 minutes, i.e., 40 minutes per half. Among them, the first match (U15 PVF of Group A and U15 Hong Kong (China) of Group B) is an inter-group friendly between two teams from different groups. Since it is a friendly match, no points are awarded and it does not affect rankings. "The purpose of these matches is to give teams more opportunities to compete and to give players more experience, as well as to create a meaningful tournament," the organizers explained in the tournament regulations.

The remaining 5 matches are group stage matches, played in a round-robin format with points. If two teams are tied on points, the organizers will consider head-to-head results. After the 5 group stage matches, the classification matches will take place on August 12, the last day of the tournament. In these matches, the first-place team of Group A meets the first-place team of Group B, second-place A meets second-place B, and so on down to the last position.
