Southeast Asian fans are buzzing as CAHN makes a historic achievement in the Asian tournament.

Hanoi Police made a remarkable impression by beating Adelaide United 2-0 away in Australia, earning them a place in the AFC Champions League Elite 2026/27 group stage. The win immediately caught the eye of football supporters across Southeast Asia.

CAHN was missing many key players because Quang Hai, Dinh Bac, Viet Anh, Thanh Long, Van Do, and Van Hau were with the Vietnam national team, yet they entered the match confidently with a lineup featuring many foreign players and overseas Vietnamese. After a fairly tight opening period in the first half, David Henen capitalized on an assist from Brayan Perea to finish accurately with his left foot in the 41st minute, giving CAHN a 1-0 lead over Adelaide United.

In the second half, Adelaide United pushed forward desperately to find an equalizer, but CAHN maintained their focus. In the 64th minute, the Vietnamese side stunned the home team again when David Henen delivered a precise cross for Brayan Perea to coolly finish with one touch inside the box, doubling the lead to 2-0. CAHN then preserved their advantage and closed out the match with a convincing victory.

This result is even more significant as CAHN becomes the sole Vietnamese representative in the AFC Champions League Elite 2026/27 group stage. This is the most prestigious club competition in Asia, bringing together top teams from Japan, South Korea, Saudi Arabia, Australia, Thailand, Malaysia, and many other strong football nations.

CAHN's victory also immediately attracted attention from Southeast Asian fans. Many comments offered congratulations to the Vietnamese side and praised the performance of coach Alexandre Polking and his players.

A Thai fan commented: "Congratulations to CAHN! Beating an Australian team away from home is a very impressive achievement. Hopefully we will see CAHN face Buriram United in the AFC Champions League.
