The incident began when information emerged about a bomb on the England team's bus. A staff member with a sniffer dog marked an area as showing signs of explosives, causing security forces to immediately intervene. However, subsequent inspection results clarified the real reason behind this warning.

The report writes: "Most alarming was when someone claimed that a bomb was placed on the bus carrying the England team to the semifinal against Argentina. A sniffer dog (K-9) marked an area on the bus as having signs of explosives. Later, another sniffer dog determined that this result was inaccurate." According to the document, this was a false alarm caused by a mechanical issue related to an oil leak.
