OFFICIAL: Ronaldo marries Georgina after 10 years together

Cristiano Ronaldo and Georgina Rodríguez have officially tied the knot after around a decade of relationship, in a private civil ceremony in Cascais, Portugal, with their five children present.

According to Reuters and AP, Cristiano Ronaldo married his long-time partner Georgina Rodríguez on August 11. The wedding was a civil ceremony held in Cascais, a coastal town in western Portugal, near the capital Lisbon.

The Portuguese superstar's representation team confirmed it was a particularly private ceremony. Brunswick Group, the public relations firm handling Ronaldo, said the event was "private and intimate," with the presence of the couple's five children.

After the wedding, Ronaldo and Georgina simultaneously announced the happy news on social media. Instead of sharing a series of images from the ceremony, the couple only posted a photo showing wedding rings on their hands, thereby officially confirming a new chapter in their relationship of about 10 years.

Ronaldo and Georgina met in Madrid in 2016, when Georgina was working at a Gucci store in the Spanish capital, while CR7 was at the peak of his career with Real Madrid. Since then, Georgina has been his life partner, always appearing by Ronaldo's side in family life and at many major events.

They have two daughters together. Georgina also helps Ronaldo care for his three other children from previous relationships. The family suffered a great loss in 2022 when one of the couple's twin babies, a boy, passed away during childbirth.

Before officially holding the wedding, Ronaldo and Georgina had announced their engagement exactly one year earlier. On August 11, 2025, Georgina posted a photo of a large ring on Instagram with a message confirming she had accepted Ronaldo's proposal. Exactly one year later, on August 11, the two officially became husband and wife.

The wedding took place at a special time in Cristiano Ronaldo's career. At 41, the five-time Ballon d'Or winner had just participated in his sixth World Cup with the Portuguese national team. After the wedding, Ronaldo had little time to rest as his club Al Nassr prepared to enter the new domestic season.

Throughout his illustrious career, Ronaldo has conquered numerous titles while playing for top clubs such as Manchester United, Real Madrid, Juventus, and currently Al Nassr.
