The most successful women's volleyball team in Vietnam wins decisively in their debut match at the Hoa Lu Binh Dien Cup 2026.

The Information Corps – Unit 19 demonstrated superior class to secure a convincing 3-0 victory over Long Son Thanh Hoa Cement, thereby early securing a spot in the semifinals of the Hoa Lu Binh Dien Cup 2026.

Right from the opening set, Long Son Thanh Hoa Cement started with confidence. The Thanh team actively accelerated the pace, utilizing serve and attack situations quite effectively to gain a point advantage in the first half of the set.

However, the turning point came midway through the set when the Information Corps gradually tightened their formation. Despite the absence of key players like Kieu Trinh or Nguyet Anh, young talents such as Phuong Thuy and Bich Hue performed outstandingly, bringing fresh vitality to the gameplay.

Particularly, the blocking system featuring Pham Hien and Thao Huong operated efficiently, continuously neutralizing the opponent's attacks. From a trailing position, the military team reversed the situation and closed set 1 with a 25-18 victory.

In set 2, the match situation completely tilted towards the Information Corps. Their solid defensive capability and diverse attacking techniques helped them continuously widen the gap.

Even though the coaching staff actively rotated the lineup, giving opportunities to setters Khanh Huyen or Kim Chi, the strength of the military team did not diminish. Conversely, Thanh Hoa revealed many limitations.

Unstable first-step execution made their offensive plans disjointed, while lack of coordination in plays led them to continuously lose points. Coach Bui Huy Son's squad nearly could not withstand the relentless pressure and quickly lost heavily 11-25.

Entering set 3, the Information Corps continued to provide opportunities for many young players to play, only retaining libero Lu Thi Ly Ly to ensure stability in the back line.

Although there were moments of difficulty when Thanh Hoa rallied, the composure and balanced skill of the military team allowed them to quickly regain control of the match.

Phuong Thuy and Bich Hue continued to be bright spots on offense with decisive hits, while the defensive system maintained necessary solidity. Consequently, the Information Corps concluded the set with a 25-19 victory.

Overall, the Information Corps – Unit 19 defeated Long Son Thanh Hoa Cement 3-0 (25-18, 25-11, 25-19). A convincing performance not only showcased the depth of the squad but also affirmed the ambition of the military team to advance deep in this year's tournament.
