Despite trailing in the first set, Hanoi Men's Volleyball Club reversed the course to defeat The Cong Tan Cang 3-1 in the Hoa Lu Binh Dien Cup 2026.

Right in the opening set, despite being rated higher in terms of strength and experience, The Cong Tan Cang encountered fierce resistance from Hanoi.

Both teams started confidently, continuously creating fast and effective counter-attacks. Hanoi demonstrated resilience in defense as well as quite diverse attacking organization.

However, at the crucial moment late in the set, the seasoned composure of The Cong Tan Cang's experienced players spoke up timely. Their solid handling helped them break away and secure a narrow 25-22 win.

Moving into the second set, the match continued evenly but became more open as both teams readily rotated their lineups, giving young players opportunities to shine.

On the other side, The Cong Tan Cang faced considerable difficulties as pillar player Pham Xuan Sinh performed below his usual level. In that context, hope was placed on young talent Thach Quang Phu. This attacker delivered a standout performance with many powerful attacks, exciting the spectators.

Nevertheless, Quang Phu's individual efforts were insufficient to help The Cong reverse the situation in this tense set.

Set 4 saw Hanoi Club quickly surge ahead from the start due to psychological advantage. The Capital men's volleyball team swiftly built a safe point gap over The Cong Tan Cang, before closing the set with a 25-19 win, thereby securing a 3-1 overall victory.

After a 1-3 loss to host Ninh Binh on March 18th, this win reignited Hanoi Men's Volleyball Club's hope for the Hoa Lu Binh Dien Cup semifinals, while The Cong Tan Cang faces the necessity of defeating Ninh Binh in the final group match to reach the semifinals.
