The 3-1 victory of Border Guard Club against Ho Chi Minh City Police Club at the 2026 Hoa Lu - Binh Dien Cup affirms the strength of the reigning Vietnamese men's volleyball champion in the domestic arena.

The match was exciting from the start as both teams possess many national team players and former national players. However, Border Guard Club quickly demonstrated superiority in set 1 with a 25-17 win.

In set 2, Ho Chi Minh City Police Club fought back strongly. Even though Border Guard Club had moments of advantage and held set-point, the police team played resiliently, effectively utilizing opportunities to reverse the score 28-26, equalizing at 1-1.

The tension continued to escalate in set 3. The two teams contested point by point. However, Border Guard Club performed more excellently, narrowly winning 26-24, advancing to lead 2-1.

In set 4, despite Ho Chi Minh City Police Club starting well thanks to effective serves by Quoc Duy, Border Guard Club still demonstrated superior composure and cohesion. They controlled the game and concluded the match with a 25-21 win, securing the overall 3-1 victory.
