Entering the opening match, the Vietnamese women's volleyball team was considered vastly superior to their West Asian opponent. Nevertheless, the coaching staff actively rotated the lineup to test the squad. From the first set, Coach Nguyen Tuan Kiet's players quickly dominated, creating a huge gap and winning 25-3, as Lebanon could hardly keep up with the pace.
In the second set, the opponents scored more points than in the first set. However, the difference in skill level was still evident. Vietnam completely controlled the game, maintained a safe margin, and ended the set 25-15, thereby doubling their advantage.
The third set was more balanced in the early points, as Lebanon improved their defense and capitalized on Vietnam's errors. However, towards the end of the set, the red-clad team accelerated and re-established their dominance. In the end, Vietnam won 25-14, closing the match with a 3-0 victory.
